Samuel lives in a small village on the French border with Italy, where the Alps cross the border, and his wife died in an accident, leaving him to raise their 7-year-old daughter Léa alone. Unable to get over the loss of his wife, Samuel’s temper tantrums with Léa, who is also grieving, and they argue over trivial issues. He has bought a mountain cabin in a remote mountainside village in Italy to spend the rest of his life with his wife. He heads to the cabin alone to clean up the traces of his wife and discovers a woman lying on the road. Chehreh, an illegal immigrant from Afghanistan who wants to reach France, asks for help, and Samuel gives directions to the border. But the villages who hate illegal immigrants, use high-tech equipment, including jet skis and drones, to block their path. It’s been a long time since most European countries have had to grapple with the issue of illegal immigration, but there is no conclusion between hate and tolerance, and the number of victims continues to grow.
