Gi-jung travels to see her father before undergoing surgery. Though we don’t know why, the father and daughter seem to have been estranged for a long time. The film presents a strange story when the story of a husband who recreates the pain of his wife going through childbirth. This film works through the genealogy of all beings who pass through a woman’s body through various allegories. Most of all, the cinematography and sound design play a large part in creating sensual mise-en-scène, which inspires viewers to learn more about the film. (CHOI Jinyoung)
