Documentary filmmaker Peter Mettler, known for his exploration of remote corners of the Earth in previous works, shifted his focus to what may be considered one of humanity’s greatest mysteries: family. However, to simply classify this film as a family movie would not do it justice. In fact, you would be amazed by the depth of the master filmmaker’s storytelling—his skill of bringing together individual stories that could each stand as separate films, blending personal narratives with universal themes, and reshaping philosophy into a pure object of sight and sensation.
