This film begins with a can of film discovered at a university of cinema in Córdoba, Argentina. Spanning from archival footage from the 1960s to the present, it traces a story shaped by young people who dreamed cinema could be a weapon of revolution, set against the backdrop of Argentina's turbulent political history. Through the images and sounds preserved in the reels, which were nearly discarded, along with interviews with surviving witnesses, Santiago Sein reconstructs a tragic era in which art and politics intersected, violently changing the fate of a generation. While rooted in the past, this documentary raises questions about the role and position of the artist in today’s complex world. (Sung MOON)
