Movement begins in the body. Gestures unfold as a medium of space and time. By maintaining a measured distance from its subjects, the film allows a multitude of sensations to resonate: the crunch of pine cones, the shadow of a building, and the wind tugging at a torn banner, each registering no less vividly than the performers themselves. Attuned to the rhythms, premature political readings fade. As the cycle of inhalation and exhalation repeats, the film's beginning and end blur.
