This film offers a glimpse into the artistic world of Carolee Schneemann for whom the body was the primary artistic medium. Filmed in Schneemann's New York studio, Body Collage records the artist running and rolling across scattered pieces of paper with wallpaper paste and molasses spread over her body. Rather than collaging the body as an object, the film embodies Schneemann's vision of collage as something actively and spontaneously created through bodily movement itself. (Molly KIM)
