Christopher Petit, known for Radio On and London Orbital, has released a new work co-directed with his wife Emma Matthews. D is for Distance is a unique essay film that weaves an intimate family narrative through a diverse collage of images spanning personal archives and film history. The couple's son, Louis Petit, suffers from a complex form of epilepsy. The story of his life and illness serves both as a personal portrait and as a window into the workings of today's medical bureaucracy and capitalism.
