Paleobotanist Mark Brown visits seven locations in the Pays de Caux region in Normandy, France, in search of native plant species. The film unfolds in two distinct sections: the first follows Brown and his friends as they explore the landscape and share conversations during their walks; the second presents the footage captured during these expeditions. In this film, cinema functions as a form of notebook, similar to the actual notebook one character carries throughout their walks.
