Born in 1956, Japan. He attended Meiji University but left early to concentrate on making independent 8mm films. His [#i_]Carnival in the Night[_i#](1983) screened at Berlinale and [#i_]Robinson´s Garden[_i#](1987) was given the Zitty Award edition of the Berlinale. He’s also known for [#i_]Junk Food[_i#](1997) and [#i_]Limousine Drive[_i#](2000) which is filmed in the United States. He has also acted in some films.
